“take a rain check”
字面意思是“拿一张雨票”，为什么会是“改天、下一次”的意思呢？这个短语的起源是出自美国的棒球文化，如果球赛进行时天公不作美，骤然倾盆大雨的不得不暂停，观众可领“雨票”，或用原票存根作为“雨票”（rain check），球赛改期举行时可凭之入场。由此衍生出了将“take a rain check”使用在约定推迟的情况下

A spark can destroy green hills. (“prevent forest fires” if there's no need to be poetic toward someone who is considering lighting their cigarette here)

With your help, litter is avoided. → no littering (less inspirational-sounding, but also less of a nonsense-trap)

3-meter clearance (assuming this is the entrance to a tunnel or the road going under a bridge) (if not, and freakishly tall people are being prohibited from riding a roller coaster, for example, then “height limit: 3 meters”)
