《北京市国际交往语言环境建设条例》介绍
《北京市国际交往语言环境建设条例》，是全国首部针对国际交往语言环境建设领域的地方性法规。《条例》的主要内容包括公共服务领域外语便利化、规范外语标识和促进社会参与三部分。
The Regulations of Beijing Municipality on Improving Language Environment for International Exchanges is the first local regulations on improving international language environment. It covers three areas, i.e. foreign language facilitation in public services, standardization of foreign language signage, and public engagement.
《条例》的出台是为了从多个方面促进北京国际交往语言环境建设水平的提升，助推北京形成全方位、多层次、宽领域的对外开放新格局，更好地服务首都高水平开放、高质量发展。
The Regulations aim to improve Beijing's foreign language environment for international exchanges, facilitate all-round opening up and boost the city's quality development.

Flying has now become an increasingly popular way to get around. Today, as the first part of the life services unit, we will take Daxing International Airport as an example to talk about the international language environment in airports.
大兴机场于2019年9月25日正式投入运行，北京自此迈入“一市两场”双枢纽时代。
Daxing International Airport was officially put into operation on September 25, 2019, and since then, Beijing has become an international metropolis with dual airports.
大兴机场是京津冀协同发展重大标志性工程，是国际交往中心功能的重要载体，是国家发展的一个新的动力源。通航以来，大兴机场已累计完成旅客吞吐量5200多万人次。
The new airport is a major landmark project for the integrated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, which serves as an enabler for functions of international exchange center of the capital, and a new impetus for the growth of our country. Since its opening, the Airport has registered a throughput of more than 52 million passengers.

The airport is the world's largest integrated transportation hub built at one go, which is an engineering feat in China and even in the world, and has been praised by foreign media as “one of the seven new wonders of the world”. 《条例》规定了5类应当设置外语标识的场所，其中就包括机场。大兴机场可谓外语标识方面的“优等生”，为满足外籍人士需要设置了许多外语标识，可引导外籍人士顺利完成值机、安检、登机等所有流程。
As stipulated in the Regulations, airports are one of the five types of public places where foreign language signs should be set up. In order to meet the needs of foreigners, Daxing International Airport has set up a number of foreign language signs. These signs can help foreigners successfully complete all the procedures such as check-in, security check, boarding and so on.
为了创建“无障碍”国际交往语言环境，大兴机场组织编写《北京大兴国际机场航站楼基础英语知识》课程，针对不同岗位的人员分级分类开展培训。
In order to create a “barrier-free” language environment, Daxing International Airport has provided different English training courses for its employees, to help them improve their language skills.
大兴机场开发了中英双语的APP，可在线办理值机、退改签、预约“兴心相印”服务（针对老弱病残孕等特殊旅客群体的免费爱心服务）等。机场同时还在问讯柜台设置了多语言翻译器。
Through the bilingual Daxing International Airport APP, passengers can get access to online services such as check-in, ticket refunds and changes, and reservation for special services for those in need (such as the elderly, the sick, the disabled and the pregnant). Multilingual translation machines are also available at the information counter.
此外，大兴机场还为问讯服务热线96158增设英文翻译服务，便于外籍人士直接通过热线获取相关信息和服务。
In addition, for the convenience of foreigners, Daxing International Airport also provides services in English through hotline 96158.
