Given the recent spread of COVID-19 overseas, people who come to Beijing, regardless of nationality, from severely-affected countries or with a recent history of travel to these countries, including the Republic of Korea, Italy, Iran, and Japan, should go through a 14-day observation in isolation, either at home under the supervision of the local residential community authorities or in designated hotels if they do not have  apartments in Beijing.
