Since 0:00 on April 30, Beijing has lowered its public health emergency response level from level one to level two. Relevant prevention and control measures have been adjusted accordingly.
1
People who come to Beijing on business trips from low-risk areas or return to Beijing from these areas no longer need to go through quarantine.
People who come to Beijing from low-risk areas in China on business trips or people who return to Beijing from these areas no longer need to go through a 14-day medical observation at home or in designated facilities; and medical observation at home or in designated facilities for those of the above people who are currently under such observation may be lifted. However, this policy does not apply to people returning from overseas, Hubei province (including Wuhan) and other medium and high-risk areas and people from these areas who are currently under quarantine.
All overseas arrivals should still go through a 14-day medical observation in designated facilities and take a nucleic acid test. After the observation period ends, they are subject to an additional 7-day health observation at home.
2
People who come to Beijing from medium and high-risk areas are still subject to medical observation.
It is not recommended to visit medium and high-risk areas in China with newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in the last 14 days, either for business or for sightseeing. People coming to Beijing from medium and high-risk areas must undergo a 14-day medical observation.
People may check in at hotels with green health code showing on the Health Kit (Jian Kang Bao), and they no longer need to provide results of nucleic acid test, but their health should be strictly monitored.
3
People seeking medical attention should make appointments and use real names.
Strict procedures for accessing medical services will be maintained. Real-name appointment for all non-emergency cases is required as a routine procedure. All patients who need to be admitted to hospital urgently will first be placed in transitional wards and go through nucleic acid test.
4
Visitors may enter residential communities.
Residential communities will remain under closed-off management. Non-residents with green code status on the Health Kit (Jian Kang Bao) may enter these communities to visit friends and relatives after filling out the entry registration form. Couriers delivering parcels, takeout food and milk, housekeepers, real estate agents and others working in the service sector with green code status on the Health Kit may enter residential communities after filling out the entry registration form.
5
Team sports involving physical confrontation such as basketball and football will remain on hold.
Time slot booking and distancing visitor flow control measures will be adopted in parks and scenic areas to restrict the number of tourists. Indoor public facilities like libraries, museums and art galleries will reopen in an orderly manner with appointments required and visitors’ number capped.
Team sports such as basketball, football and volleyball that are confrontational in nature will remain on hold. Sports facilities, fitness centers and swimming pools will remain closed, so will cinemas, karaoke clubs, chess and card playing rooms as well as recreational rooms both inside and outside residential communities.
6
Open and non-crowded suburban places are recommended for May First holiday outing.
People are advised to go to open and non-crowded suburban places and avoid going to popular scenic spots or touring them during peak hours. When in scenic areas, wait in line as instructed, keep a safe distance from others and refrain from going to confined and crowded places with small space and poor ventilation. Group dining is not recommended.
