14-Day Off-Duty Required for Close Contacts of Xinfadi Market

On the evening of June 14, the competent departments of the Beijing Municipal Government, pursuant to relevant laws and regulations, made the following requirements.

1. All businesses shall carry out full screening of all their employees and people they live or share apartments with, and urge those who have visited Beijing Xinfadi Agricultural Wholesale Market since May 30, 2020 or have been in close contact with the Market staff to promptly report to the communities where they live and undergo nucleic acid testing as required. Those who do not reside in a community shall have their information reported by their employers (or the hotels they stay at) to the community where their employers or the hotels are located and undergo nucleic acid testing as required.

2. All businesses must put the persons specified above off duty for 14 days as of the date of the report, and urge them and people who live or share apartments with them to fulfill home quarantine and other COVID-19 prevention and control obligations.

3. All businesses shall strengthen COVID-19 prevention and control and enforce such measures as body temperature monitoring, mask wearing, Health Kit (Jian Kang Bao) status check, personal information registration, safe distancing, proper use of air conditioning, environmental disinfection, and indoor ventilation.

4. All businesses shall fulfill their main stake-holder responsibilities in COVID-19 prevention and control, urge their employees to truthfully report relevant information, and cooperate with their health monitoring and nucleic acid testing. Organizations which fail to meet their responsibilities and cause serious consequences shall be held accountable in accordance with the law.
