Recently, Beijing municipal department of housing and rural and urban construction officially issued the Construction Permit for the Beijing Design Week Permanent Venue Project (Phase I Project of Sandwich Panel Workshop Reconstruction at Beipao Light Steel Plot), marking the formal entry of the project into the construction phase.

 A new international landmark will be built in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center!

The construction of a permanent venue for Beijing Design Week is a municipal key project with a total construction area of about 18,000 square meters. The project aims at building a permanent site and main venue of Beijing Design Week, which mainly provides conference forums, exhibition transactions, display of collections and commercial office services, hence creating a “design center” that integrates latest design information release, cultural activities, functional business operation and exhibition transactions. The venue will gradually be built into the China Design Museum in the future.

According to the project executive manager, the project covers an area of 11,000 square meters and a total construction area of 17,715 square meters. It is divided into one underground floor and three above-ground floors. The underground space will be used mainly as the garage and the equipment room, while the above-ground part will include the exhibition hall, the global release hall and the design library, etc.

The Beipao Light Steel Park Area is one of the five major plots built by Zhangjiawan Design Town. At present, China Design Construction Consulting International Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. has obtained a business license and become the first enterprise to enter the park. In the future, the southern part of the park will also embrace the quality industrial projects of China Construction Technology Group, attracting and pooling the Group's resources in Beijing Municipal Administrative Center.
