The “Southeast Asian Business Delegation Visits Pinggu” event took place recently. During the visit, the China (Pinggu, Beijing) - Southeast Asia Business Cooperation Dialogue was held.
The event was co-hosted by the China Economic Cooperation Center of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and Pinggu District People’s Government, as part of IDCPC’s efforts to support Beijing in strengthening its role as an international exchange center. Twenty political and business representatives from seven Southeast Asian countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, participated in the event.
At the Cooperation Dialogue
Pinggu District presented its business environment, industrial advantages, and key projects during the dialogue. Chinese entrepreneurs and representatives from Southeast Asian political and business sectors engaged in in-depth discussions on how to leverage their complementary advantages to enhance pragmatic cooperation.

During the event, the delegation also made field visits to the Smart Vegetable Factory of the High-Tech Agricultural Z-Park, Zhongguancun Agricultural Science and Technology Park Innovation Works, DNE Pinggu Smart City Logistics Valley, the headquarters of the China Music Valley - Village Live Streaming College, Zixingyuan (Beijing) Food Technology Co., Ltd., Bibo Island, and the Violin Culture Experience Hall.

Teresa Kok Suh Sim, Head of the Delegation and Deputy Secretary-General of the Democratic Action Party (DAP) of Malaysia, noted that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. This milestone in the history of bilateral relations also signifies a new starting point for deepening future cooperation. She expressed hope that this event would facilitate cooperation across various fields for mutual benefit and common development.
Phalat Sirikulphisut, General Manager of Sirikul Steel Company Limited and Director of Warrix Sport PCL, stated that the event provided him with insights into Pinggu District’s advanced practices in agricultural development and first-hand experience of Beijing’s high-quality development. He believed that Beijing’s experience could be highly beneficial for many cities in Thailand, and expressed hope for more business opportunities to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.
Julio Resowijoyo, Director and General Manager of Indonesia’s IndoAgro (a company specializing in agriculture and logistics), expressed his admiration for Zixingyuan (Beijing) Food Technology Co., Ltd and talked with the company’s head about its production and investment. The Zixingyuan side also expressed an interest in investing and starting businesses in Indonesia.
