Xicheng District: New York State delegation visits the Innovation Exhibition Center

On December 14, a delegation from the Assembly Minority of the New York State Legislature visited the Innovation Exhibition Center at Xicheng Park in Zhongguancun Science Park.

At the exhibition center, the delegation was given a detailed introduction to the four industries in which the park's hi-tech companies specialize, namely, design and R&D, content creativity, smart city, and fintech. They had the opportunity to gain a firsthand experience of the cutting-edge technologies that make everyday life more convenient, as they explored the sample room with smart interior design, the VR zone, and the video-based AI facial recognition system, and raved about the achievements of these high-tech companies.

Mr. Barclay, head of the delegation, highlighted Xicheng Park's highly inspiring achievements in innovating its service model and facilitating the development of top tech sectors while building a city-like technology park. He looked forward to closer communication and further cooperation in sci-tech innovation, digital economy, artificial intelligence, among other fields.

Shijingshan District: CONI's Academy of Sports Science and Rehabilitation explores new areas of cooperation

A few days ago, Wang Xinhao, the representative of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI)'s Academy of Sports Science and Rehabilitation in China, and his colleagues came to Shijingshan District to explore cooperation potential in the future.

They paid a field visit to investigate the spatial distribution of the sports industry in the district. Sports rehabilitation is a powerhouse industry in Italy. The Academy of Sports Science and Rehabilitation, directly under CONI, has been committed to benefiting society through developing science-based and effective sports rehabilitation technologies and fostering a sports culture that encourages healthy exercise.

Wang expressed his hope to communicate and cooperate with Shijingshan District in the field of rehabilitation science, including sci-tech cooperation, business partnership, talent cultivation, and market services.

Yanqing District: IBSF President attends Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup

Recently, Ivo Ferriani, President of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF), came to Beijing to attend the 2023/2024 BMW IBSF World Cup in Yanqing District.

Ferriani came to the starting area of the bobsleigh and skeleton race at the Yanqing National Sliding Centre to see how the venue was set up and how the game was organized. He also met the athletes, and presented awards to the medalists.

He praised the competition venues, event organization, and services, saying, "The organization and services are excellent. Every time I come to Beijing, I feel the warm hospitality of the people here, and everything you do is incredible."
