Chaoyang District recently held an online meeting with Zone 1 of Milan, Italy, to deepen friendly exchanges and promote industrial cooperation.

Nie Jieying, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chaoyang District Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Chaoyang provided a briefing on the District’s economic and social development. As a significant area that serves capital functions and facilitates international exchanges, Chaoyang boasts abundant international resources, diverse consumer scenarios, and a competitive edge in business and cultural environments. She expressed the hope for both sides to explore cooperation in fields such as economy, fashion, and cultural and creative industries for shared development.

As the central area of Milan, Italy, Zone 1 has rich historical and cultural heritage and is renowned for its fashion industry and commercial centers. Mattia Abdu, President of Zone 1 of Milan, echoed that the two sides should further practical cooperation in such areas as the fashion industry, commercial areas development and brand cultivation, given their shared strengths in geographical location.

Going forward, the two sides will continue to deepen friendly exchanges and seek common ground in industrial development to serve the high-quality growth of the regional economy.
