Pinggu District Government and Hauraki District Council met online on September 13 to conduct in-depth discussions on further exchanges and cooperation in fields such as agriculture and leisure tourism.
As a significant agricultural district and ecological conservation zone in Beijing, Pinggu is committed to serving the city's development in the new era by developing itself with high-tech agriculture, high-capacity logistics, and leisure and new fashion as the core, said Di Tao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Pinggu District Committee and District Mayor. He wished both sides would leverage their resources, development strengths, and technological capacities to carry out more extensive and high-level communication and cooperation in agriculture and tourism, so as to promote joint economic and social development.
According to Adams, the current Mayor of Hauraki District, and Tregidga, the former Mayor, Hauraki sent a delegation to visit Pinggu in 2019, which was a very memorable journey. Given the shared similarities in resources and industrial strengths in agriculture and tourism, it's hoped that the two sides could strengthen exchanges and mutual learning in fields such as agricultural science and technology innovation, elderly care and education.
