At the invitation of the organizer, the government of Daxing District and Beijing Daxing Investment Group Co., Ltd. participated in the Webinar on CJK Smart Cities themed "Synthesizing Smart City Initiatives" on August 5. The event was co-organized by the China-Japan-South Korea Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat and the World Smart Sustainable Cities Organization (WeGO) and sponsored by the China Center for Urban Development (CCUD) of the National Development and Reform Commission of China. Gao Niandong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Daxing District Committee, Deputy District Mayor of Daxing, and Director of the Administrative Committee of the Beijing China-Japan International Cooperation Industrial Park , delivered a keynote speech. He briefed on how Beijing and Daxing District in particular have progressed in building a smart city, and called for further cooperation via the China-Japan International Cooperation Industrial Park. 

Representatives from well-known companies such as Alibaba, NEC, and Samsung also attended the webinar.
