On January 26, Morten Bødskov, Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs of Denmark, and Michael Starbæk Christensen, Ambassador of Denmark to China, led a delegation for a field visit to Changping District to learn about the district’s achievements in the pharmaceutical and health sector.

At the “Life Valley” exhibition hall in the Future Science City, the delegation gained insight into the overall development plan of the Future Science City, as well as Changping’s efforts to build a world-leading “Life Valley”, improve its innovation ecosystem, and enhance development capabilities. The delegation also visited key institutions, including the ATLATL Incubator, Beijing GoBroad Hospital, and InnoCare, where they learned about incubator development and operations, clinical research, and enterprise development.

Changping is making every effort to establish itself as a world-class hub for the pharmaceutical and health industry, building a complete innovation chain from R&D incubation and clinical research to industrial application. In 2025, the district’s pharmaceutical and health sector recorded revenue of over RMB 100 billion. Going forward, Changping will actively promote pragmatic cooperation with Denmark in technological R&D, commercialization of research findings, and talent exchange.
