The 16th Budapest International Circus Festival concluded late on January 12 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The China National Acrobatic Troupe claimed the Grand Prix, the festival’s highest honor, for its original work Time–Hoop Diving.

During the festival, the Beijing Acrobatic School and China National Acrobatic Troupe Co., Ltd. signed strategic cooperation agreements with the Budapest Circus Arts and Contemporary Dance College and the Hungarian National Circus Art Center. Under the agreements, joint efforts will be made to establish and operate the “Chinese Acrobatic Troupe European Performance Base” in Budapest.

The six-day festival featured circus and acrobatic troupes from more than 20 countries and regions.

Founded in 1996, the Budapest International Circus Festival is held every two years.
