The China International Friendship Cities Conference 2024 was held in Kunming, Yunnan Province, from November 18 to 19. At the conference, Beijing won the “International Friendship City Award for Outstanding Contribution”, while Hanoi, Vietnam, a sister city of Beijing, received the “Friendship City Award for Outstanding Partnership With China”.

Themed “Common Prosperity, Shared Future”, the conference brought together over 700 guests, including representatives from 63 local governments and friendship organizations from 125 cities in 66 provinces and states in 41 countries across five continents, as well as experts, scholars and enterprise and media representatives.
