Accompanied by passionate music, members of the artistic swimming team from Beijing and Moscow performed a spectacular “water ballet”, resembling blooming flowers in the crystal-clear pool with their agile movements of rolling, leaping, and lifting.
On the afternoon of June 18, the Beijing-Moscow Artistic Swimming Performance took place at the Beijing Muxiyuan Sports Technology School, as part of the “Moscow Day” series of events.
During the event, the Moscow swimmers performed seven routines including Dynamic Jazz, Elegant Cat, and Robot Boy X, while their Beijing counterparts presented four routines including Eagle, Warriors of the Water, and Setting Sail. The nimble athletes from both sides delivered artistic and powerful performances, resembling a dynamic painting, and exchanged mutual praise and applause on-site. After the performance, they spontaneously took the stage, cheerfully jumping into the water hand in hand. The audience were impressed by the youthful smiles of swimmers in the pool.
Following the event, members of the Moscow artistic swimming team were shown around the Beijing Muxiyuan Sports Technology School, where the team shared their training and life with their Chinese counterparts and exchanged contact information. Reluctant to say goodbye, the athletes from both sides promised to meet again. This one-day event not only facilitated mutual learning and skill enhancement, but also fostered deep bonds of friendship among young artistic swimmers from both cities.
“The facilities at Beijing Muxiyuan Sports Technology School are excellent. We are grateful for the warm reception from our Chinese hosts, and we all love Beijing.” said a member of the artistic swimming team of the Moscow Youth Sports Federation.
Moving forward, Beijing will further exchanges and cooperation with Moscow in sports and culture, bringing the sister-city relationship to new heights.
