On February 23, the Lantern Festival Exchange Activity for Chinese and Vietnamese Students was held in Hanoi, Vietnam. The event was attended by more than 30 participants, including Zheng Dawei, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, Do Thanh Van, Head of the Confucius Institute at Hanoi University, and student representatives from both countries.
In his speech, Zheng Dawei expressed his delighted at attending the exchange activity. He said that China and Vietnam are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. This traditional bond has been further strengthed by the robust all-round cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries in recent years. As the activity is attended by both Chinese students studying at the VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Vietnamese students who are studying at Chinese universities on scholarships from the Chinese government, Zheng encouraged them to cherish the valuable experience of studying abroad and successfully complete their programs. He also emphasized the importance of learning and understanding each other's cultures, which will enable them to become bridges of friendship between the people of China and Vietnam.
