On September 25, 2020, the Sino-French TechMeeting themed “Digital Energy and Mobility” came to a successful conclusion in Beijing. The event was initiated by Choose Paris Region, a governmental agency fostering the attractiveness of Paris Region and co-organized by Beijing TOJOY Holdings Group and other institutions. French companies including PSA, EDF and Orange exchanged ideas with eight excellent tech companies from Beijing and Shanghai.
Ms. You Xing, Choose Paris Region's chief of China & Asia, said that Paris Region is a key technology and business center in the world and ranks first in Europe in terms of regional GDP, research investments and innovation index. It has the third most headquarters of Fortune 500 companies in the world and is home to seven world-class industry clusters and 620 innovation hubs. “Energy and mobility” is an area of particular focus for the governments of France and Paris Region, which have rolled out a series of policies and measures in this regard. The French government launched a national hydrogen strategy recently, planning to invest EUR7.2 billion in hydrogen R&D and related industries to build the country into a major player in the global hydrogen economy.
