A delegation of young officials from Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) recently visited Haidian District to explore sci-tech innovation. During their visit, they gained firsthand experience about the components of hydrogen-oxygen electric engines, integrated operating rooms, and one-stop service centers, among others. The delegation was impressed by the district’s vitality and gave it high praise.
At the CDMO platform of Beijing Medical Robotics Industry Innovation Center, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of the center’s professional and innovative service system. This system is tailored to the needs of medical device innovation enterprises throughout the product lifecycle, from early-stage R&D and regulatory approval to mass production. In addition, integrated operating rooms, high-precision processing areas, and dedicated and flexible production lines in the center showcase new medical technologies and service models for visitors.
During their visit to the one-stop service center of Dongsheng Sub-park of Zhongguancun Science Park, the delegation learned about the park’s enterprise service ecosystem, industrial development, and the building of innovation and entrepreneurship platforms. They experienced firsthand the high-quality, user-friendly support services offered by the park. At SinoHytec, they were briefed on the past and present of the hydrogen energy industry and engaged in discussions on hydrogen-oxygen electric engine parts and hydrogen fuel cell engines.
The delegation noted that the concentration of innovation resources such as universities, research institutions, and high-tech enterprises in Haidian District has laid a solid foundation for the science park. They expressed a desire for further exchange and cooperation to learn from the park’s experience in operation and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) incubation, in order to achieve mutually beneficial development.
