As part of the effort to implement the Measures on Supporting Beijing’s High-Quality Economic Development through Work on Foreign Affairs and Hong Kong and Macao Affairs, the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office and the Foreign Affairs Office of Shijingshan District organized a lecture on consular protection in the Zhongguancun Shijingshan Science Park. The event, attended by representatives from over 60 enterprises in the park, aimed to ensure the safety of employees during their trips abroad and support businesses’ overseas development and investment.
Enterprises in the Zhongguancun Shijingshan Science Park typically have extensive overseas presence, with a large number of their employees frequently traveling abroad. Taking this into account, the organizers invited overseas security experts to teach the audience how to avoid risks and respond to emergencies through real-life cases. The lecturers focused on major security risks such as political risks, crimes, armed kidnappings, and terrorist attacks, and shared many useful tactics in a way that allows the audience to comprehend and remember, effectively improving their awareness of risk prevention and their ability to handle emergencies.
