Haidian District: Chief Executive Officer of National Heritage Board of Singapore Visits Yuanmingyuan Ruins Park
Recently, Chang Hwee Nee, Chief Executive Officer of National Heritage Board of Singapore, led a delegation to visit the Yuanmingyuan Ruins Park for cultural exchanges.
The delegation visited Dashuifa Site, Hall of National Peace and other iconic spots. They also toured “Inheritance and Guardianship - Exhibition of the Achievements of Yuanmingyuan Cultural Relics Protection” and “The Return of Yuanmingyuan Stone Pillars Exhibition” at the Yuanmingyuan Museum. Chang Hwee Nee showed immense interest in the ancient stone pillars, 3D-printed recreations of zodiac animal heads, and Qianji Yuanming, a 4D film offering an immersive tour of Yuanmingyuan. The staff also briefed the delegation on the restoration work of Yuanmingyuan Ruins Park. Both sides exchanged views on the conservation of cultural heritage, the restoration of historical sites, and the application of digital technology.
The Singapore delegation noted that “The integration of technology and culture has transformed history into a tangible memory of civilization. It is an approach worth learning from.”
Fengtai District: Multilingual Service Portal of Fengtai District Government Launched
Recently, the multilingual service portal of Fengtai District Government was officially launched.
The website is available in English, Japanese, Russian, and Arabic, showcasing key information on Fengtai’s history and culture, business and investment opportunities, and tourism and mobility. A dedicated section on investment has been established, showing policies for key industries, investment-focused projects and business environment. This seeks to improve the district’s international service capabilities and facilitate market entry for foreign-funded enterprises.
Mentougou District: President of the Province of Mantua of Italy Visits Mentougou Enterprises
Recently, a delegation led by Carlo Bottani, President of the Province of Mantua in Lombardy Region of Italy, visited Mentougou District and conducted exchanges for practical cooperation.
The delegation led by Bottani conducted field visits to several companies in Zhongguancun Mentougou Science Park, namely the Application Base of Scientific and Technological Advances of Baheal Pharma Group, Beijing Tashan Technology Co., Ltd, and Jiangtai Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. They also went to Tangu Commercial Area, where they experienced its international living environment and supporting facilities for culture and tourism industries.
Bottani said that the Chinese and Italian people enjoy profound friendship and close exchanges in economic, cultural, and tourism sectors. Noting that Mantua has held the Lotus Festival for the past three years and Mentougou is to host the IX International Symposium on Rose Research and Cultivation, he expressed hope that the two places could enhance cultural and economic cooperation for common development.
Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA): Reserve Officials of the Hanoi Municipal Communist Party of Vietnam Committee Visit BDA
Recently, reserve officials of the Hanoi Municipal Communist Party of Vietnam Committee visited the Beijing High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone Innovation Operation Center to learn about the intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) technology and the manufacturing of new energy intelligent vehicles.
At the Innovation Operation Center, the delegation was briefed on the achievements and plans of the Beijing High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone, and listened to the staff’s introduction regarding the construction of the standard ICV intersections. Later, they took an intelligent connected passenger bus onto the roads of E-Town to experience the convenient services supported by vehicle-road-cloud integration.
The delegation highly recognized BDA’s effort in technological innovation in smart mobility, as well as its industry ecosystem development, stating that “We have truly felt the convenience brought by technological advancement and look forward to the future development of smart mobility.”
