Recently, the Beijing Representative Office of Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (hereinafter referred to as “CFA Institute”) gained the approval for registration. The CFA Institute has registered with the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau as a representative office of an overseas non-governmental organization (NGO), under the supervision of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Regulation and Supervision.

Established in July 1986 in Virginia, USA, the CFA Institute is a non-governmental international organization that awards the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation globally. Currently, its professional standards and certification have gained official recognition from regulators in 40 countries and regions. The CFA Program curriculum has been adopted by more than 800 universities worldwide as part of their degree programs. More than 200,000 CFA charterholders work across over 160 countries and regions, with their expertise being utilized by over 25,000 companies. The CFA Institute’s global operations encompass talent development and the formulation of industry standards. Its main certification programs include the CFA program, the Certificate in ESG Investing, and the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM), among others.

The establishment of CFA Institute’s Beijing Representative Office is expected to accelerate the promotion of standards about professional knowledge and skills in the financial sector in China, foster the development of financial experts, and further support the high-quality growth of the financial industry.
