On March 11, Haidian District hosted the “Toward a Shared Future: Sino-Danish Regional Tech-Industry Exchange Forum”, inviting a Danish business delegation to visit Haidian and engage in discussions. The event aimed to enhance mutual understanding, strengthen cooperation, and deepen pragmatic collaboration across various fields, thereby fostering elevated mutual benefits and win-win development. Jeppe Kofod, former Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs and head of the Danish business delegation, delivered a speech. Zhang Ge, Secretary of the CPC Haidian District Committee, offered remarks at the event, while Li Junjie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Haidian District Committee and District Mayor, gave a thematic presentation.

Jeppe Kofod expressed his pleasure in visiting Haidian, highlighting his deep impression of this prosperous, vibrant, and innovative modern area. He emphasized that the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Denmark and China presents an excellent opportunity to build a broader platform for international exchange. Kofod reaffirmed his commitment to fostering closer trade ties at the sub-national level, enhancing cultural exchanges, and advancing cooperation in fields such as artificial intelligence and sustainable development. He stressed the importance of collaboration in addressing risks and challenges, and improving people’s well-being, thereby achieving mutual benefit and common prosperity.

During the event, a cooperation signing ceremony was held. Beijing Zhongguancun Science City Innovation Development Co., Ltd., the Confederation of Danish Industry, and the Danish Board Network signed a tripartite MOU. Moving forward, the three parties will work together to build a broader exchange platform for Chinese and Danish enterprises, facilitating in-depth cooperation in areas such as technological innovation, industrial development, and talent exchange.

The event also featured representatives of technology enterprises from Haidian, who delivered thematic presentations to share insights on innovative technologies in fields such as artificial intelligence and robotics, and jointly explore the future of industrial applications in the new era.
