The closing ceremony and awards ceremony of the 2nd "Beijing·A Global City" Short Video Contest was held online on the afternoon of December 13. A total of 17 entries were awarded the first, second and third prizes, and 15 institutions, including Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU), won the Outstanding Organization Award.

Since its launch, the contest has received wide attention and support from the general public, expatriates, organizations, and media outlets in Beijing. Six offline campaigns were organized on topics such as urban rejuvenation and the Winter Olympics, Beijing's achievements in serving major national diplomatic events, and international environment and services, where diplomats, foreign journalists, experts and students in the city were invited to field visits and interviews. As of November 10, there were over 160 works from different institutions and individuals with themes ranging from the time-honored capital to the "Dual Olympic City", from intangible cultural heritage to global art, from people's daily lives to urban transformation, and from technological innovation to fashion trends. These works showed Beijing's international image from different aspects, vividly presenting Beijing as a global city.

After expert review, the first prize went to two works -- "Chasing Dreams in Beijing" and "Seeing Beijing at All Angels". Five videos including "A Canadian's 18 Years in Beijing" claimed the runner-up spot, 10 entries like "Hometown Is Where I Settled Down" came in third place, and another 20 such as "One Day in Beijing" were awarded the Excellent Award. Going forward, the winning creations will be promoted through sister-city interaction, international conferences and people-to-people exchange as well as social media at home and abroad and other channels.
