The Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality recently held an enlarged meeting of the Party Leadership Group to deliver and learn the requirements of the National Meeting of Director Generals of Local Foreign Affairs Offices. At the meeting, it was stressed that the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government must improve its political ability, planning ability, ability to participate in international exchanges and public diplomacy and ability to innovate, focus on serving the overall diplomatic work of the Party and the country, coordinate regular epidemic prevention and control and the building of Beijing as a center for international exchanges, and facilitate the higher-level opening-up and higher-quality development of the city.    

To implement the requirements of the National Meeting of Director Generals of Local Foreign Affairs Offices, based on the measures introduced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support local foreign affairs offices, the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal Government identified the courses and priorities in its efforts to use diplomatic resources to contribute to Beijing's economic and social development.
