During the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2024, a special press conference was held in Boao, Hainan on March 27, for the Third Conference of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia and the “Invest in E-Town” Promotion Conference. It was officially announced that the Third Conference of Global Health Forum of Boao Forum for Asia will be held in Beijing from July 16 to 18, 2024.
Li Baodong, Secretary General of Boao Forum for Asia, emphasized that the Global Health Forum is a comprehensive platform for international exchange in the field of health. Since its establishment in 2018, it has been focusing on cutting-edge issues and the latest technologies to promote the high-quality development of global health services and the health sector. The third conference will continue to fulfill global commitments with concrete efforts and jointly address the increasingly complex challenges as well as opportunities facing the global health sector.
Yu Yingjie, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Education Work Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, stated that Beijing and Boao Forum for Asia will jointly host the third conference. The conference aims to showcase Beijing’s services, deepen cooperation and exchanges, inject new impetus into the city’s efforts to become an international exchange center, and lay a new foundation for achieving high-quality development in the health sector.
The third conference, co-hosted by the Boao Forum for Asia and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, will be organized by the Global Health Forum Organizing Committee and the Administrative Committee of the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Area. Themed “Health Everywhere - The Sustainable Development Era of 2030”, the conference features an opening ceremony, over 20 sub-forums, ministerial and corporate dialogues, a roundtable meeting of multinational CEOs, closed-door dialogues for entrepreneurs, the release of professional reports and white papers, investment promotion conferences, and project signing ceremonies among other important activities.
