Recently, the Fengtai District People's Government of Beijing Municipality has signed a cooperation agreement with Zhongguancun Development Group (ZGC Group) on building an International Culture and Science Park that integrates "Space, Investment and Services" in the Dahongmen area on Southern Central Axis.

The transformation and development of the Dahongmen area play an important role in implementing the Conceptual Plan of Beijing South Central Axis Area. The Fengtai District Government has signed a cooperation agreement with the ZGC Group to officially launch in-depth cooperation in the Dahongmen area based on Beijing's requirement of promoting the construction of the Dahongmen area on Southern Central Axis. The cooperation aims to accelerate functional adjustment, industry upgrading and quality improvement of the Dahongmen area as well as to provide an example for urban renewal.

Through this cooperation, Fengtai District will establish an organizational management mechanism that facilitates coordination at different levels, marshal creative resources and reinforce fin-tech cooperation to form a new growth pole for the development of the southern part of the capital.

ZGC Group will give full play of its advantages in different fields, including industrial resources, financial capital, technological service, international factors and the construction and management of the park to attract and gather high-end, precision and sophisticated industries and to create and upgrade an innovative service ecosystem. In this way, ZGC Group can provide comprehensive support for the construction of the International Culture and Science Park on Southern Central Axis for greater innovative development in the southern part of Beijing.

According to the relevant responsible persons from Fengtai District, the two sides will start from the construction of the International Culture and Science Park on Southern Central Axis, planning with the big picture in mind and providing guidance to high-standard development. They will attract domestic and international giants with great influence in industries like science and technology, culture, and international business to settle in. Moreover, they will build accelerators for unicorn companies and proactively plan for future industries that can lead to new demands and provide new momentum based on new technologies.

With renovation as the basis, industrial upgrading as the core, and service ecosystem upgrading as the support, Fengtai District and ZGC Group will work together to establish an International Culture and Science Park that integrates "Space, Investment and Services". They will turn Dahongmen into an international leading landmark of culture and science as well as a leading player in the digital economy. Through joint efforts, the two sides will set a new benchmark for urban renewal on Southern Central Axis.
