With the transaction voucher issued recently by China Beijing Equity Exchange, the New Shougang International Talent Community, a project known as "Chang'an Shouhui", has seen its trading officially completed. The community will be constructed soon and is expected to be put into service by the end of 2023.
The New Shougang International Talent Community is one of the first four pilot projects for the construction of "Beijing International Talent Communities", as well as an important part of the efforts to gather high-end international elements and promote the functions of the center for international exchanges. Located in the eastern part of the north area of Shougang Park, the "Chang'an Shouhui" project is next to the Beixin'an Road Station of Metro Line 11. The "compound-style" design scheme put forth by Wu Chen Workshop of Beijing Institute of Architectural Design will be adopted for the scheduled construction of 5 buildings on No.036 plot in the first phase, of which 2 old buildings will be renovated and 3 new ones will be built. This way, the original industrial style of the Shougang Park will be preserved fully, and the "fashion + technology + IP" style of a modern park will be integrated into the complex through innovation to realize the perfect unity of multiple functions that include the provision of office spaces, commercial facilities, apartments, hotels, etc.
Liu Xunxu, managing director of the construction operator Shougang Fund, said that from top-level design to the construction planning and from capital operation to park functions, the centenary history of the Shougang Group has all been taken into account, and the project focuses as well on the functions to serve large national events held in Beijing such as the Beijing Winter Olympics, China International Fair for Trade in Services, etc. Besides, due consideration has also been given to the future thematic features of the park in terms of digital economy, sci-tech innovation, culture and sports to combine the construction and development of an "international talent community" with the internationalization, landmark and attractiveness of the new Shougang. The digital entertainment center, trendy commercial streets, new concept light-luxury apartments, luxury concept stores, internet-famous restaurants and bookstores will provide fashion venues with round-the-clock immersive entertainment, establish a new urban landmark for visitors in western Beijing, and create a platform for attracting international high-end talents and a flagship for new experience of urban life.
Apart from a number of initiatives and explorations in design and planning, the construction of the project also benefited from the Urban Renewal Fund established by the National Social Security Fund to support Beijing and the Winter Olympics. It is the first successful example of breaking away from the constraints of the shareholding structure and completing the whole process transaction. Liu Xunxu said that the project fund subscription scale was 6 billion yuan, to which Shougang Fund and its sub-funds contributed a total of 3.6 billion yuan, while the National Social Security Fund paid in 2.4 billion yuan. It is reported that currently many internationally renowned IP and high-end brands have expressed their intention to enter the park.
