On April 12, journalists with Beijing Daily app learned from Beijing Municipal Development and Reform Commission that the theme of this year's World Leisure Congress is "Leisure Makes Life Better", and the design of the main venue highlights local culture and shows the style of "Shílín yǎ zhù (“Stone Forest” Elegant Buildings)" and adopts 5G smart technologies to empower "Pinggu Service".

The main pavilion of "Shilin Yazhu" shows poetic meaning

Through the glass roof of Beijing Jinhai Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center, you can clearly see the blue sky and white clouds. This building, located on the shore of Jinhai Lake, is the main venue of this year's World Leisure Congress.

The journalist learned that the design of the main venue highlights local culture, and the design theme is in the style of "Shílín yǎ zhù (“Stone Forest" Elegant Buildings)", which integrates the culture of Pinggu Shangzhai, strange stone culture and peach culture, presenting the artistic appeal of landscape painting.

Jinhai Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center has a total construction area of 65,000 square meters, divided into two main functional areas: the east side conference area and the west side exhibition area, equipped with above-ground exhibition hall, underground exhibition hall, multi-functional hall, grand banquet hall and several small meeting rooms. During the conference, the opening and closing ceremonies, conference forums, leisure industry expo and supporting leisure activities will be held here.

According to the introduction, this Congress will be held in an interactive mode online and offline, adhering to the concept of all-area, all-season and all-people leisure. Themed “Leisure Makes Life Better", the Congress will host the opening and closing ceremonies, an award ceremony, one main session, 14 parallel sessions, China (Beijing) International Leisure Industry Exposition and 9 designated leisure activities.

5G Smart Technologies Empower "Pinggu Services"

Beijing Jinhai Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center is the first 5G demonstration area in Pinggu District, with full 5G signal coverage, and will be an important conference and exhibition complex in Pinggu District in the future. The project combines big data, IOT (Internet of Things), and other technologies to provide smart parks, smart meetings and other innovative applications, creating good conditions for online and offline connections and expanding the appeal and influence of the conference.

In addition, the Grand Metropark Hotel near Jinhai Lake, with a total construction area of 39,000 square meters, has also been put into operation. The hotel includes a lobby building and three guest room buildings, with a total of 324 rooms, which will provide accommodation and catering services for the guests during the conference.

Going forward, Beijing Jinhai Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center will fully leverage the influence of the World Leisure Congress to widely attract conferences and exhibitions, sports events and leisure activities of related industries to be located here, help improve the regional service and reception capacity with professional operation, connect surrounding business districts, empower the development of Jinhai Lake cultural tourism town, and help the construction of Beijing into the national cultural center and center for international exchanges.

The outdoor exhibition area is adjacent to the Jinhai Lake resort, with a total land area of 319,000 square meters, with a central exhibition area, a visitor service center and an outdoor exhibition area. Located around Beijing Jinhai Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center, it will be developed into an important distribution center for leisure tourism in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei in the future.

The importance of Jinhai Lake traffic hub as a "circulation hub" is self-evident. With a construction area of about 3000 square meters, the Jinhai Lake passenger station has been officially put into use.

The water environment management project of the main venue has completed the treatment of 1.75 kilometers of the northern trunk canal, and the river ecosystem has been restored to provide a good place for the public to relax and enjoy the harmony of forest, water and human. The new ancillary facilities, garden roads and electrical facilities included, have greatly enhanced the foundation of municipal facilities for regional development.
