Recently, Daxing District held the 2025  plenary meeting of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Daxing  District Committee. Chu Junwei, Secretary of the CPC Daxing District  Committee and Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC  Daxing District Committee, presided over the meeting and delivered a  speech. Liu Yang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Daxing District Committee,  District Mayor, and Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of  the CPC Daxing District Committee, attended the meeting.

The  meeting highlighted the need to strengthen political leadership and  consolidate the foundation of foreign affairs work. It emphasized that  the entire district should thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping  Thought on Diplomacy, firmly uphold the Party’s leadership over foreign  affairs, continuously refine the overall planning of foreign affairs  work, and fully leverage the bridging, window, and enabling roles of  foreign affairs. All efforts should serve the overall diplomatic agenda  of the Party and the country and contribute to advancing Beijing’s  high-standard opening up.

The meeting  emphasized the importance of aligning with the district’s functional  positioning and further enhancing opening up. It called for fully  leveraging the strategic advantage of Beijing Daxing International  Airport as a new engine of national development, and for actively  expanding channels for international exchanges and cooperation by  focusing on key industry resources such as biomedicine and the digital  economy. Efforts should be made to build influential and pragmatic  platforms for international cooperation. The district should also  accelerate the development of an international and high-end external  communication framework, improve foreign-related administrative and  public service platforms, and tell the story of Daxing in a  comprehensive manner to raise its international visibility and  influence.

The meeting called for  strict observance of foreign affairs discipline and the establishment of  a strong security barrier for foreign-related affairs. It stressed the  need to fully implement policies on official overseas visits and step up  education on discipline in foreign affairs. A firm bottom-line mindset  and strong risk awareness must be upheld to ensure that foreign-related  work is carried out in a standardized and orderly manner.

The  meeting conveyed and studied the guiding principles of the meetings of  the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee  (Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Leading Group of the CPC Beijing Municipal  Committee), and the Municipal Leading Group for Improving Beijing’s Role  as the Center for International Exchanges. It also heard the 2024  Work Report of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Daxing District  Committee and reviewed the 2025 Key Tasks of the Foreign Affairs  Committee of the CPC Daxing District Committee and other related items.
