On the morning of March 14, the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee held the Foreign Affairs Work Conference. Following this, districts and departments in Beijing have studied and implemented the guiding principles of the conference to promote the high-quality development of the capital's foreign affairs work, with a focus on improving Beijing’s role as the center for international exchanges to a high level.

On March 20, Mentougou District held a meeting to convey and study the guiding principles of the Foreign Affairs Work Conference. Yu Huafeng, Secretary of the CPC Mentougou District Committee, delivered a speech.

At the meeting, it is emphasized that we must thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy and follow the guiding principles of the Central Conference on Work Relating to Foreign Affairs and the requirements of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee. The goal is to provide high-standard services for major diplomatic and state events and improve Beijing’s role as the center for international exchanges, with a stronger sense of responsibility and mission. Efforts should be made to promote the high-quality development of the district's foreign affairs work, seizing important opportunities such as the "two zones" initiative and developing three key industries (artificial intelligence, ultra-high-definition digital audiovisual, cardiovascular medical devices). It is essential to expand channels for attracting investment, taking advantage of platforms such as the China International Fair for Trade in Services, ZGC Forum, Financial Street Forum, Beijing Culture Forum, and Yongding River Green Development Forum, to conduct targeted promotion and matchmaking events for more practical cooperation. The meeting called for strengthening the Party’s overall leadership over foreign affairs work and improving relevant mechanisms, enhancing foreign-related management services with greater coordination, and enhancing the professional competence and comprehensive skills of foreign affairs officials.
