Recently, a delegation of senior officials from Malaysia’s Democratic Action Party (DAP) visited Fengtai District and conducted a field visit to Traffic Control Technology Co., Ltd. (TCT), a local enterprise in the district.

As China’s first high-tech company to independently develop the core technology of the communication-based train control system (CBTC), TCT is a leading player in the field of rail transit signaling. The delegation visited the National Engineering Research Center of Rail Transportation Operation and Control System and the Beijing Low-Altitude Laboratory Platform, and engaged in discussions with Fengtai District officials and TCT representatives on topics including rail transit, low-altitude economy, and industrial development. During the discussions, officials from relevant departments of Fengtai District provided a detailed overview of the district’s industrial landscape, particularly its rail transit sector, which is very competitive. They expressed the hope that the visit would serve as an opportunity to promote resource sharing, leverage complementary strengths, and advance mutually beneficial cooperation in rail transit and the low-altitude economy.

Loke Siew Fook, Secretary-General of the DAP and Minister of Transport of Malaysia, gave an overview of the current status of Malaysia’s rail transit development and relevant initiatives under the 13th Malaysia Plan. He noted that China’s innovation capabilities in rail transit and the low-altitude economy align closely with Malaysia’s transportation infrastructure development needs. He expressed hope for further cooperation with Fengtai District and welcomed Chinese enterprises, represented by TCT, to actively participate in Malaysia’s industrial development with their advanced technologies and solutions.

Fengtai District is a national high-tech industrialization base for rail transit, home to 225 key enterprises in the sector, including TCT, with a total revenue of 260 billion yuan in 2025. This event served as a bridge for exchanges between Fengtai District and Malaysia in the fields of rail transit and the low-altitude economy, opening up new avenues for industrial cooperation.
