Districts in Beijing have been actively engaged in foreign exchanges and communication, with a focus on the high-quality development of the capital. Dongcheng District:
Guests of the Presidents’ Conference of the WTEA Visit Dongcheng District
Recently, principals and guests from various countries attending the 6th Presidents’ Conference of the World Theatre Education Alliance (WTEA) were invited to visit Dongcheng District to explore the development of traditional culture and modern art in Beijing. Visitors include principals and guests from arts academies of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, Greece, Georgia, and the Republic of Korea.
At the Temple of Heaven, the foreign guests explored the Circular Mound Altar, the Echo Wall, the Imperial Vault of Heaven, and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, praising the wisdom embodied in ancient Chinese architecture and the distinctive artistic style. At the Hongqiao Market, they not only had close encounters with intangible cultural heritage, but also experienced the rapid development of e-commerce and livestreaming sales, as well as their impacts on the art market. As they ascended to a viewpoint to overlook the Temple of Heaven and appreciate the picturesque autumn scenery, the guests felt invigorated and gave their thumbs up for Beijing.
Shunyi District:
Professors from Wayne State University in the United States Visit Shunyi District No. 11 High School
Recently, several professors from Wayne State University in the United States visited Shunyi District No. 11 High School for educational exchanges.
The visitors entered the classroom to observe the teaching and listen to students’ discussions about the course. In addition, they enjoyed performances by student clubs, including fancy rope skipping, aircraft modeling, dragon and lion dancing, and badminton. The two sides engaged in discussions on topics of mutual interest for teachers in both China and the United States, such as the challenges posed to education by the changing times, as well as the relationship between school education and family and community education. Both sides expressed their willingness to strengthen exchanges and cooperation to cultivate talent with a global perspective.
Daxing District:
A Delegation of Zambian Senior Officials Visits Daxing District
Recently, a 17-member delegation of Zambian senior officials led by Batuke Imenda, Secretary-General of the United Party for National Development of Zambia, visited Panggezhuang Town in Daxing District to explore the development of modern specialized agriculture.
During their visit to the Sijiyangkun Agricultural Company in Panggezhuang Town, the delegation toured the seedling greenhouse, the vegetable planting house, and other facilities to learn about agricultural technologies such as seedling cultivation, irrigation, and lighting. They also sampled specialty agricultural products. The foreign delegation highly praised the modern agricultural development in Daxing and expressed the willingness to promote cooperation between the two sides, aiming to introduce modern planting technologies to their country to support local agriculture.
