The Zhongguancun Science City-Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology and Innovation (MRANTI) Technology and Innovation Cooperation Platform was officially launched during the 2024 Invest in Beijing Conference on April 25. The platform was unveiled by Chang Lih Kang, Malaysia’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation; Yue Li, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Haidian District Committee, Deputy Secretary of Party Leadership Group of the Haidian District Government, and Executive Deputy District Mayor; Datuk Wira Dr. Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff, Chief Executive Officer of MRANTI; and Wang Tonghui, Executive Director of ZGC Science City Ltd., together.
The cooperation platform, jointly launched by ZGC Science City Ltd., and MRANTI, will serve as an important intermediary for ZGC’s effort to build an international sci-tech innovation network and a path to further connect with Malaysia’s resources in science parks, enterprises, and industry talents, enriching the ecosystem of the “innovation rainforest of the ZGC Science City.”
Before the launch ceremony, Wang Tonghui and Datuk Wira Dr. Rais Hussin Mohamed Ariff signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cooperation between ZGC Science City Ltd. and MRANTI.
The signing of the MOU is an important outcome of the visit of sci-tech enterprises to Malaysia, organized by the Science City for sci-tech innovation cooperation in March 2024. In the future, under the mutually beneficial cooperation framework, ZGC Science City Ltd., and MRANTI will give full play to the resource network of the cooperation platform, continue exploring cooperation opportunities in sci-tech innovation, and actively foster practical cooperation between the two parties in areas such as science park development, innovation ecosystem build-up, sci-tech enterprise incubation, new technology commercialization, and personnel exchanges.
