On June 19, Xicheng District held a video conference with Macerata and Fermo of Italy to exchange views on further pragmatic cooperation.

Lv Shiji from the Foreign Affairs Office of Xicheng District briefed them on Xicheng’s historical and cultural resources, as well as its geographical advantages, hoping to jointly promote cooperation with Italy in fields such as cultural heritage preservation, education, economy, trade, and tourism.

Sandro Parcaroli, Mayor of Macerata, and Paolo Calcinaro, Mayor of Fermo, both expressed their willingness for friendly exchanges with Xicheng District. They presented the natural resources, and historical and cultural traditions of their respective regions, highlighting the competitive industries such as leather manufacturing, light industry, and high-quality agricultural products.
