[Miyun District] Miyun District Holds Online Exchange Event to Promote Cooperation in Aviation, Cutural and Tourism Industries

On the afternoon of May 20, 2022, a virtual Sino-German matchmaking conference for general aviation, cultural and tourism industries, "Beijing Miyun Connecting the World" was held concurrently in Beijing and cities in Germany, including Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne and Düsseldorf.

This conference, jointly held by the "Two Zones" Leading Group Office and the People's Government of Miyun District, is part of the "Global Outreach" Events for advancing the "two zones" initiative. The aim is to match Miyun's competitive industries and unique services with aviation, recreational sports, cultural and tourism enterprises in Germany.

The event invited more than 30 German enterprises, including a 750-year-old farm hotel group, RheinMain Flightcenter GmbH, Sportcenter Schumacher, a paragliding company, and more than 20 local enterprises in Miyun, including Reignwood Aviation Group, Beijing WTown, and Chateau Changyu AFIP Global. Moreover, it has introduced a number of key investment projects, including the development of East Area of Huairou Science City and the Zhongguancun Sub-park in Miyun.

According to the Commerce Bureau of Miyun District, the district will focus on its role in building Beijing into the center for international exchanges, and leverage the opportunities brought by the "two zones" initiative, to accelerate the development of the general aviation industrial park, An innovative aviation service town will be built with aviation services as its focus, and also providing conference and exhibition services, office building, training and exchanges, tourism and recreational services, commercial services, and bonded logistics. At the same time, Miyun District will make full use of its abundant ecological and tourism resources to build a tourism development area with distinct features and launch cultural and tourism projects featuring the Great Wall, agriculture, wine culture, and urban resorts.
