ITB Berlin 2024 kicked off on March 5, local time. The China Pavilion was established under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, with the participation of 13 Chinese provinces and cities, including Beijing. The new edition of the "Hello Beijing" overseas culture and tourism promotion campaign was also unveiled.

Established in 1966, ITB Berlin is the world's largest tourism trade fair. This year's event took place from March 5 to 7. Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, together with five inbound travel agents, including China International Travel Service Limited, Head Office (CITS), TUI China, China CYTS Tours, and Beijing Fengjing International Tourism, participated and showcased the new highlights of Beijing's tourism, which attracted travel agents from various countries for negotiations.

The Beijing booth offered a variety of informative materials and events, including a brochure highlighting the latest discoveries in Beijing tourism, a leaflet outlining the 144-hour visa-free transit policy, a pamphlet showcasing Beijing's intangible cultural heritage, a booklet detailing Beijing's MICE tourism resources, a food tasting event featuring the Imperial Kitchen’s "Good Luck from Loong" dishes, and a demonstration of the Beijing Lord Rabbit Figurine named "Auspicious Rabbit". The materials and events were extremely well-received by visitors, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere at the booth as they interacted with the staff with enthusiasm.
The event provided a platform for extensive exchanges between the participating companies and their global counterparts, thereby facilitating the expansion of cooperation in inbound tourism. A number of media outlets, including Euronews, CGTN, and People's Daily Europe, covered the Beijing booth, showcasing Beijing's tourism offerings from diverse perspectives.
On March 6, local time, the Beijing delegation also hosted the "Chinese Night" Beijing session at ITB Berlin.
