Ambassador Chai Wenrui said that the further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia cannot be achieved without the support and participation of the peoples of both countries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the friendship between the two peoples has been further elevated, and China-Mongolia friendly relations have been exemplified by the touching story of China presenting tea in return for sheep donation from Mongolia. This year, high-level exchanges between the two countries have continued, with Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Wang Yi, State Councillor and Foreign Minister, visiting Mongolia respectively to exchange views on communication and cooperation between the two countries in various fields. Not long ago, President Xi Jinping met with President Khurelsukh, and charted the course for deepening China-Mongolia relations. China attaches great importance to the development of relations with Mongolia and regards Mongolia as an important neighbour in its diplomatic relationship with neighbouring countries. China will continue to uphold the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind, to join hands with Mongolia to promote friendship, while expanding cooperation with mutual benefit and developing the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Ankhbayar said that at present, Mongolia and China are expanding cooperation in various fields, while friendship between our two peoples is consolidating and the comprehensive strategic partnership continues to deepen. Over the 73 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China and Mongolia have maintained good-neighbourly relations of friendship and cooperation, setting up an example of good-neighbourliness. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, the friendship and cooperation between the two countries continued to move forward, and mutual political trust and people-to-people ties between the two countries deepened. This year, China and Mongolia maintained close high-level communication between each other. The high-level mutual visits and communication have played an important role in promoting the Mongolia-China comprehensive strategic partnership, especially in the people-to-people and cultural aspects.
