China-Russia Innovation and Cooperation Week and China-Russia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, launched in 2019, are co-sponsored by Beijing International Exchange Association (BIEA) and Lomonosov Moscow State University Science Park (MSU Science Park). The events in 2019 and 2020 saw more than 50 cooperation agreements and 500 successful business meetings. More than 400 Russian start-ups participated in the events.

Since the two parties started cooperation, the MSU Science Park has established its first overseas office in Beijing, which is run by the BIEA. The office brings advanced technologies from Russia through the final of the China-Russia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and helps Chinese technologies go global.   

The China-Russia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has obtained fruitful achievements and contributed to the cooperation between China and Russia in sci-tech innovation. The BIEA and the MSU Science Park will co-host the 2021 China-Russia Innovation and Cooperation Week and the 3rd China-Russia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition to capitalize on this international platform and encourage more technology and innovation enterprises to participate in the events. In addition to the activities that have been held in the previous sessions, the organizers will introduce new content and activities to create new opportunities for cooperation in sci-tech innovation between China and Russia.  

The BIEA and the MSU Science Park will also encourage Russian enterprises to set up offices in China, attend seminars and training related to sci-tech innovation, and participate in other events to match supply with demand. In due time, they will set up the Beijing-Moscow innovation center to provide more exchange platforms and better tap the potential for cooperation between China and Russia in science and technology.
