On February 2, 2021, an official from the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office met with Asaf Nachmias, Police Attaché of the Embassy of Israel in China, and the two parties exchanged views on public security administration and future cooperation.

Asaf Nachmias introduced the function and organization structure of the Ministry of Public Security of Israel and the main measures taken by municipal and police departments to maintain public security, in particular the dual mission of the Israeli police to combat crime and terrorism. He spoke highly of Beijing's achievements in science and technology and urban security administration, and welcomed exchanges and cooperation with Beijing in relevant fields.

An official from the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office introduced Beijing's departments for public security administration and use of technology to maintain public security and build a smart city. He also recalled the exchanges between Beijing and sister city Tel Aviv in sci-tech innovation, agricultural technology, culture and security administration, and expressed willingness for future cooperation, focusing on Beijing's endeavor to build the "two zones" and host "three forums." This year marks the 15th anniversary of the sister-city ties between Beijing and Tel Aviv. Following the meeting, the two sides are expected to deepen their practical cooperation.
