On December 10, a delegation led by the Hungarian government’s AI commissioner visited Peixin Primary School in Dongcheng District, Beijing, for an exchange on AI-enabled education. The visit aimed to showcase achievements in AI-enabled education and to strengthen communication and exchange in this field.

Upon the delegation’s arrival, the AI educational assistant “Hui Xiaozhu” and the robotic dog “Zhi Xiaowang” immediately caught their attention, showcasing an AI-enabled learning environment that is both engaging and human-centered.

The delegation then proceeded to the lobby on the first floor of the South Building to watch a promotional video titled “AI Time”. Presented in a vivid and intuitive format, the video offered an overview of the school’s AI-enabled education framework. In the conference room on the same floor, representatives of Peixin Primary School delivered a thematic presentation from four dimensions: AI-empowered student learning, teaching, student development, and collaborative education. They also provided an in-depth interpretation of the school’s overall planning, innovative implementation pathways, and phased achievements in AI-enabled education. A live demonstration of a Chinese-language AI agent used in subject teaching was also conducted, clearly showcasing its effect in assisting teachers and enhancing both teaching efficiency and learning outcomes.

During the scenario demonstration and observation session, the delegation visited several core-subject application scenarios, experiencing firsthand the deep integration of AI into everyday teaching. In the AI-based homework grading classroom, an intelligent homework grading and learning analytics system enabled highly efficient homework grading and precise assessment of students’ learning progress. In the AI-based physical education (PE) classroom, intelligent evaluation and training equipment for events such as the standing long jump and rope skipping made PE instruction more evidence-based and targeted. Within the AI-based science & technology space, devices such as chess-playing robots and drones were seamlessly incorporated into science lessons, greatly stimulating students’ interest in scientific exploration. In the AI-based general knowledge classroom, a dynamic lesson showcased how AI-enabled education can effectively popularize scientific knowledge while cultivating students’ AI literacy.
