China  Association of Medical Equipment (CAME) delivered an exemplary  presentation at the Meeting on People-to-People Diplomacy of the Foreign  Affairs Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee on March 28.  Let’s take a closer look at CAME’s impressive stories and experience the  charm of people-to-people international exchanges.

CAME  is a national social organization registered with the Ministry of Civil  Affairs. Guided by the mission to “improve service of medical and  healthcare institutions, and promote innovative development of medical  equipment industry”, it collaborates with multinational healthcare  enterprises and international organizations,  and engages in exchanges  with Belt and Road countries. Through academic exchanges, it aims to  foster industrial cooperation and actively advance the high-quality  development of Beijing’s medical equipment industry.

I. Promoting Practical Cooperation in the Medical Equipment Sector

CAME  signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Health  of Belarus, and has since coordinated and organized multiple expert  delegations from relevant fields in Belarus to visit China for  technological exchanges and collaboration. These efforts aim to support  the joint production of medical equipment and pharmaceutical products in  Belarus.

In  2024, CAME hosted the first overseas China Medical Equipment Exhibition  and academic exchange event at the Great Stone Industrial Park in  Belarus. The event showcased leading enterprises and cutting-edge  products from China’s medical equipment sector, with several high-end  medical equipment making their debut. Reports on the exhibition were  included in the “2024 Top Ten News Stories of China-Belarus Relations”  by the Embassy of China in Belarus and the Belarusian Telegraph Agency  (BelTA).

II. Promoting International Exchanges among Medical Institutions and Enterprises in Beijing

CAME  has organized multiple visits by clinical medical experts from  countries such as Belarus, Morocco, and Russia to Beijing. These experts  engaged in clinical exchanges in disciplines such as ultrasound and  magnetic resonance imaging with Peking University Third Hospital,  Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, among others. Additionally, they have toured  leading enterprises across various segments of the medical equipment  industry in Beijing for future collaboration.

III. Serving the Innovative Development of Beijing’s Medical Equipment Industry

CAME  and the Future Science City Group jointly initiated the “High-End  Medical Equipment Industry Acceleration Center in Future Science City”,  with the aim of advancing the commercialization of innovation outcomes,  technological exchanges, and international cooperation in the medical  equipment industry.

In  October 2024, CAME organized the 9th “Maker in China” Medical Equipment  Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Small and Medium-sized  Enterprises in Changping District. A total of 154 innovative projects  participated in the competition.

Drawing  on the advanced experience of medical technology and training in the  Netherlands, CAME facilitated the establishment of an AI-powered  surgical simulation training and application center in Changping  District. Once completed, the center will provide clinical professionals  with internationally leading training projects based on real-scene  simulation, further facilitating technological exchanges between China  and other countries and the commercialization of sci-tech achievements.
