The World’s First Large-scale Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine Power Generation Demonstration Project Launched in Beijing E-Town
In 2024, the Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine Power Generation Demonstration Project, a collaboration between Zhongguancun Development Group (ZGC Group) and Germany’s Deutz AG, was officially launched in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (also known as Beijing E-Town). As the world’s first large-scale hydrogen internal combustion engine power generation project, and one of Beijing’s key foreign-funded initiatives in the hydrogen energy sector in recent years, the project plays a leading role in advancing China-Germany cooperation in this field.
2024 Sustainable Natural Fibres Global Conference Held in Pinggu District
The China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (CAPIAC) and Pinggu District strengthened their collaboration by hosting the Sustainable Natural Fibres Global Conference and establishing a permanent conference site for the World Conference on Farm Animal Welfare in the Pinggu National Agricultural Science and Technology Park. The aim is to support Pinggu District in building an agricultural innovation center with global influence.
The 6th China-Russia Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CRIEC) Held in Chaoyang District
The 6th CRIEC “Welcome to Chaoyang Beijing” International Entrepreneurship Acceleration Camp Activity was co-hosted by the Beijing International Exchange Association (BIEA), the Beijing Chaoyang District Enterprise Confederation (BJCYDEC), and the Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) Science Park. Participants explored future collaboration opportunities in three key areas: civil aerospace, biotech, and new materials.
Li Yalan Chairs IGU Executive Committee Meeting in Istanbul, Türkiye
China Gas Association and Beijing Gas Group supported Li Yalan, former Chairperson of the Board of Beijing Gas Group, in fulfilling her role as the rotating President of the International Gas Union (IGU). During the 2024 IGU Executive Committee and Council meetings, she promoted Beijing’s energy transition policies and achievements, and advocated for international cooperation in natural gas, which helped build momentum for the 2025 World Gas Conference (WGC) to be held in Beijing.
