From October 19 to 20, 2024, the Global Digital Business Education Conference was hosted in Beijing by BTBU, in collaboration with BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. and Yonyou Network Technology Co., Ltd. The event marked the official launch of the Global Digital Business Education Alliance, which brings together members of 71 institutions from 11 countries, including China, the U.S., the UK, France, and Bulgaria. The alliance aims to build an international platform for digital business education cooperation by integrating resources, fostering teaching and research collaboration, developing standards and quality assurance measures, and promoting talent training and exchange.

Building on the Beijing Initiative on Global Digital Business Education Alliance released at the conference, BTBU will work with its global partners to focus on six key initiatives: digital empowerment, interdisciplinary integration, faculty reshaping, industry-education integration, global collaboration, and indicator system development. Focused on cultivating high-caliber business professionals and improving education quality, the university strives to build a modern digital business education system with Chinese characteristics and up to world-class standards.

A series of events were held under the framework of the alliance, such as the inauguration ceremonies of a China-Cambodia Business School and a Digital Academy, exhibitions on digital achievements, and roundtable forums. The business school, jointly established by BTBU and the Royal University of Phnom Penh in Cambodia, aims to foster collaborations in education and culture by strengthening youth exchanges between both countries, thus actively engaging in the “Belt and Road” cooperation.
