The 50th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council took place in Geneva, Switzerland from June 13 to July 8. Several Chinese social organizations submitted written statements to the session, showing the achievements of China's human rights development from multiple perspectives and actively helping to reform and improve global human rights governance.

China Ethnic Minorities' Association for External Exchanges wrote in its statement that China had been committed to the people-centered philosophy of human rights, and had taken effective measures to promote Xinjiang's rapid economic and social development. People of all ethnic groups live a happy and fulfilling life. Fine traditional cultures of all ethnic groups have been well protected and inherited. A few countries in the West including the US frequently lie about Xinjiang to smear China and contain its development. The UN Human Rights Council should distinguish right from wrong without being influenced by disinformation.

China Association for Preservation and Development of Tibetan Culture stated that under the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, Tibetan higher education had undergone extraordinary changes after more than 70 years of development. Take Tibet University as an example. The university has been developed from a "tent school" to a member of Project 211 and a Double First-Class university. While making progress in developing disciplines, the university values external exchanges and cooperation. It has found a successful way to develop modern higher education in an ethnic minority on the Tibetan plateau.

Beijing Women's International Center (BWIC) wrote in its letter that the once-in-a-century pandemic had exacerbated global gender inequality. Through activities such as "Technology Empowers Girls and Promotes Gender Equality", Chinese social organizations provide girls with educational resources and training to improve their scientific and technological literacy. In this way, the organizations take practical measures to achieve gender equality in emerging fields of science and technology.

Beijing Changier Education Foundation and Chunhui Children (another foundation) stated that, as a party to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and the host country of the Fourth World Conference on Women, China actively implemented the Beijing Platform for Action to ensure that girls and rural left-behind children could access special protection. China is ready to work with the international community to promote the healthy and all-round development of children in all countries.

China Social Entrepreneur Foundation stated that with the support of the Chinese government, Chinese social organizations had been promoting computer science courses in rural areas, striving to narrow the "digital divide" and ensure that education could be better, more equitable and inclusive.

Beijing Guangming Charity Foundation believes that sports could play a vital role in promoting disability inclusion. Chinese social organizations promote exchanges between people with disabilities and able-bodied people by conducting sports activities. Through these activities, people from all walks of life can show their care and support for people with disabilities. In this way, they can gain more respect and blessings.

Beijing NGO Network for International Exchanges stated that in recent years, Chinese social organizations upheld the philosophy of building a global community of shared future, and made active efforts for advancing global anti-pandemic cooperation, strengthening people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and improving global environmental governance. The international civil society should further strengthen cooperation, practice true multilateralism, and make greater contributions to building a fair, harmonious and green world.

Organizations such as Greenovation Hub (GHub) pointed out that a clean, healthy and sustainable environment was an important human right. The international community should act on the basis of protecting human rights, jointly address issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss and habitat destruction, promote green and low-carbon development, and strive to achieve the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
