The 2022 Beijing Consular Protection Lecture Series will be officially launched in late April. Sponsored by the Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, the event aims to continuously promote consular protection under the regular epidemic prevention and control, help citizens learn knowledge about overseas epidemic prevention and overseas safe travel, take precautions against potential risks to stay safe, and effectively safeguard the safety and rights of overseas citizens and organizations.
Soliciting opinions of people to meet their demand
To provide tailor-made lectures for the public, we started the interactive mode of online survey and offline street interviews on the National Security Education Day which falls on April 15th to learn more about the needs of the public and solicit their questions and suggestions on consular protection, emergency response, and epidemic prevention policies. We plan to hold 10 lectures throughout the year, and the content will be designed to cater to the needs of the public, to enhance the effectiveness of consular education, to make consular knowledge available in communities, campuses, and enterprises, to meet the needs of different groups, and to give full play to the important role of consular work in safeguarding the overseas interests of the country and the people. We wish to build a solid line of defense on the journey ahead.
