Recently, the Belt and Road Summit was held in Hong Kong, attracting over 100 exhibitors from all over the world. Among them, a number of science and technology enterprises with “Beijing genes” showcased advanced technologies and services such as autonomous driving and data management, grabbing the participants’ attention.
At UISEE’s booth, a blue tractor with the sign “In Autonomous Operation” was in the spotlight. According to the staff, more than 50 such autonomous tractors are active at Hong Kong International Airport. They can operate above ground, underground, indoors, in tunnels and in other diverse and complex environments, providing all-weather autonomous logistics and shuttle services for the airport. Based in Beijing’s Zhongguancun, UISEE is committed to autonomous driving technologies. Its deep involvement in the Hong Kong market is a testament to the close collaboration between Beijing and Hong Kong. The company has also located its overseas business headquarters in Hong Kong. By leveraging the city’s distinctive advantages of enjoying strong support of the Motherland and being closely connected to the world, UISEE has expanded its business to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Another Beijing-based tech company Kingbase, a domestic leader in the database sector, also participated in the summit.
The Belt and Road Summit has been held annually since 2016. It has become the largest and most significant international business and investment platform for enterprises from Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and overseas to cooperate under the Belt and Road Initiative.
