Recently, an experience event for International Friendship Ambassadors was held. Organized by the Office of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, this event brought together 30 International Friendship Ambassadors, including business executives, foreign experts, reporters stationed in Beijing and foreign students, to experience Beijing’s high-quality foreign-related government services.

International Friendship Ambassadors Visit the Municipal Government Service Center

The experience event for International Friendship Ambassadors is a regular communication platform established by the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office for foreign nationals residing in Beijing. Since its launch in 2024, it has attracted nearly 100 foreign friends from 38 countries. Through immersive experience, this event aims to introduce Beijing’s measures to facilitate foreign-related services for foreign nationals, solicit opinion and suggestions, and promote the improvement of the city’s international services.

International Friendship Ambassadors Learn about Foreign-Related Services at the Municipal Government Service Center

The Beijing Municipal Government Service Center serves as an important window and hub for administrative approval and public services in the city. During the visit, the International Friendship Ambassadors gained a detailed understanding of the service procedures for foreign-funded enterprises and work permits for foreign nationals, and experienced cross-sectoral, one-stop government services.

International Friendship Ambassadors Experience Multilingual Services at the Citizen Hotline Service Center

The film Hotline Beijing released this year tells heartwarming stories about how the citizen service hotline helped improve people’s livelihood in Beijing. The International Friendship Ambassadors visited the Citizen Hotline Service Center with great interest and explored the real-life scenes behind the film. There, they witnessed how the busy work of reception, dispatching and comprehensive command were carried out in a well-ordered way. They also watched how the high-quality multilingual public services were provided. Such immersive experiences have left them deeply impressed by Beijing’s practice of responding promptly to people’s needs and concerns.

International Friendship Ambassadors Offer Suggestions for Improving the City’s International Services

The International Friendship Ambassadors said that Beijing’s international services have been continuously improved in recent years. International services in areas such as multilingual support, payment convenience, healthcare and education have been steadily improved, and foreign-related government services now provide clear communication, timely responses, and effective handling of requests. They expressed their willingness to serve a bridge, and share their observations and experiences with more international friends.

During the exchange session, the International Friendship Ambassadors proposed suggestions on further improving the city’s international services based on their work and life experiences in Beijing. The Beijing Foreign Affairs Office will follow up on the relevant work, categorize their opinions and suggestions, coordinate and promote the improvement of related services, and further facilitate the cross-border travel of foreign nationals and make their work and life in Beijing easier.
