At the Beijing High-Level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone in BDA, Chernyshenko received a detailed briefing on its development progress. He highly appreciated the achievements in autonomous driving technologies and intelligent connected vehicles and expressed keen anticipation for the early completion of Phase 4.0.

As China’s first high-level autonomous driving demonstration zone, it has been developed in stages under the principle of “advancing step by step with rapid iterations and continuous refinement,” and has now entered Phase 4.0. Covering an area of 600 square kilometers, the demonstration zone provides autonomous shuttle services for key scenarios such as airports and museums. It has also built the country’s first city-level engineering test platform integrating five major systems of “vehicle, road, cloud, network, and map,” and established China’s first policy pilot area for autonomous driving, along with a series of innovative measures. Currently, 1,185 autonomous vehicles from 37 automakers are operating within the zone.

Chernyshenko said that the visit gave him a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the relevant fields, and that he would continue to follow their progress closely.

Chernyschenko later visited “Robot Mall,” the world’s first 4S store for embodied intelligent robots. He greeted various robots in Chinese and asked detailed questions about the functions and application scenarios of medical, bionic, and industrial robots. He praised the store’s innovative model and the prospects for robotics, remarking, “You are creating the future.”

Opened in August 2025, the 4S store offers services including robot sales, parts supply, after-sales service, customer feedback, as well as tailored development, financial services, and leasing. Showcased at the World Robot Conference (WRC) 2025 as an industrial service innovation, its lifecycle service model marks a shift in the robotics industry toward an ecosystem-based service system, providing the “E-Town Solution” for building the global industrial ecosystem.
