Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko Arrives in Beijing for the V-Day Commemorations

On the evening of September 1, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Beijing by high-speed train to attend the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Prior to this, at the invitation of China, President Lukashenko attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit held in Tianjin.
This marked his 16th visit to China. Belarus established diplomatic relations with China in 1992 and was among the first countries to join the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). In September 2022, the two sides upgraded China-Belarus relations to an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. China is Belarus’s second-largest trading partner and its largest trading partner in Asia.

Prior to this, at the invitation of China, Prime Minister Shehbaz attended the SCO Summit held in Tianjin. Pakistan is a member state of the SCO. On the evening of September 1, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Beijing by high-speed train to attend the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Prior to this, at the invitation of China, President Tokayev attended the SCO Summit held in Tianjin.
Kazakhstan is one of the founding members of the SCO and the birthplace of the BRI. Under the personal guidance of the two heads of state, the China-Kazakhstan bilateral relationship is at its best in history. On the evening of September 1, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Beijing by high-speed train to attend the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Prior to this, at the invitation of China, President Mirziyoyev attended the SCO Summit held in Tianjin.
Uzbekistan is one of the founding members of the SCO. In January 2024, the two heads of state jointly announced the development of an all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for a new era to promote the building of a China-Uzbekistan community with a shared future from a higher starting point.
Tajik President Emomali Rahmon Arrives in Beijing for the V-Day Commemorations

On the evening of September 1, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon arrived in Beijing by high-speed train to attend the events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Prior to this, at the invitation of China, President Rahmon attended the SCO Summit held in Tianjin.
