Beijing Sees Over 600,000 Foreign Entries in 2025 So Far

As of April 6, the last day of the Tomb-sweeping Day holiday, the total number of entries and exits through Beijing’s ports this year has exceeded 5 million. Specifically, 1.3 million were made by foreign nationals, with the number of entries alone exceeding 600,000 to 638,000. This indicates a year-on-year increase of 44%. Among them, 70% were for tourism, business, and family reunions, a 1.5-fold increase from last year.

During the three-day Tomb-sweeping Day holiday, 30,000 entries were made by foreign nationals through Beijing’s ports. Notably, this number hit 10,800 on April 6, setting a new record for single-day entries this year.

The Office of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, in collaboration with the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, pioneered the Special Visa and Immigration Inspection Facilitation program, aiming to facilitate the immigration inspection for eligible foreign business travelers entering Beijing.
